A little nest building
Photo taken at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, Chilliwack, BC. There is a colony of Great Blue Heron there with over 100 nests.
Into personal space
This little rabbit stayed perfectly still; truly believing that I couldn’t see it. This is so close that I had to back off slowly to about 30 feet, put an extension tube onto my 100-400 lens (so if would be able to focus on a subject so close), and move back in. I took this photo and moved slowly away. It continued to sit right there as I left. This was in rattlesnake country – it doesn’t look promising for this little fella’.
