A little wilderness, a little time — oodles of fun.

Ducks Unlimited Canada

On Friday I was given the opportunity to photograph the directors of Ducks Unlimited enjoying the afternoon at Burrowing Owl Winery here in the Okanagan. Such a wonderful group of people from a wonderful organization! Mike Mackintosh and Beaker (the little owl) were also there from the Burrowing Owl Conservation Society of BC sharing stories and information. It was a great afternoon in which I was privileged to meet some of our greatest conservationists. Thank you to Wendy and Janet for your assistance; and a special thank you to Neil for such a splendid conversation!

Recently Wild

As the title suggests, I want to present some recent images fitting a WILDerness theme.
First, here are a couple of Bighorn rams’ figuring out who’s got the “rights’” – taken while I was visiting the Chilcotin area of British Columbia in November:

The majestic Chilcotin River (I will be coming back!):

I want to thank this particularly beautiful Okanagan whitetail deer fawn. She was waiting for her pals to join her before vanishing:

Also, here are a couple of backyard visitors that we have been privileged to watch in the past couple of months:

Thanks for visiting!

Trail riding

Westbank has a wonderful trail that runs along our lake’s edge. Sarah and Grant were willing models along this bike path; capturing more tourism related imagery for the Westbank Chamber. Thanks guys!

Fly fishing Westbank

A lovely day along Bear Creek. Some great photos, a few tangles, a bunch of laughter.
