Heads in the Sand

Faced with a PR problem, our Canadian government has decided to come out fighting.

Canada brushes off oil sands article – International Herald Tribune

Prentice defends oilsands following National Geographic article – CBC

I find the “but you have no choice” argument sadly short-sighted, shallow – insulting. Of course there are livelihoods at stake here, but is it not within the grasp of our government to have influence on growth of new sectors and alternatives? New jobs in a new direction.

We’re the tail here – let us please push to be the nose.

Simply Sharing

After a great deal of brainstorming and pure, simple time – I have realized that I’ve been trying too hard to fit the mold, fearing to step out – and not enough time spent showing you who I am.

Therefore, Freestone Spirit Photography will be delving deeper into who – Mark Coffey – the photographer is.

All of this comes from a short pull back for observation and a strong desire to constantly improve what I have to offer you – stay tuned.

Thanks all!

Cool shift

It has been busy around the office lately getting ready for the exciting upcoming months! I have been getting out and shooting – I wanted to share this time lapse piece made from a dusk shoot on the Okanagan Lake shoreline. Enjoy!

The full sized version is quite striking in HD 1080!
